If you do a google search on online ocr, you will end up in an ocean. There are so many providers online, with varied offerings and pricing that anyone will get confused. A detailed comparison of chosen providers is presented here with the intention to help the users in selecting the best option.
Who are we comparing?
Based on the google search we picked up top 20 websites and filtered them based on multiple criteria. We said NO to the service providers which
- cannot convert to text online (no desktop based softwares)
- need registration or payment details
- have unsecured access — no https
- have too much confusing interface
- do not not accept scanned pdf as input
