Istio Ingress gateway run as the service on Kubernetes Cluster itself.

Does ingress gateway created by istio is a component inside the k8 cluster or outside ?

Istio Ingress gateway run as the service on Kubernetes Cluster itself. Its runs on a different namespace though.
