The monopoly of RDBMS is over ! NoSQL databases have made a strong impact since in last decade. They created new means to store,read and manage data. In this article, I tried to peek into the latest trends in the world of databases.
How I am analyzing the trends?
Please note — this analysis intends to compare the databases from trends perspective and not the features. It provides a viewpoint of developer community, on their adoption. In this analysis I tried to find the answers for the following questions
- What are the top 5 popular databases this month?
- What is the most popular database type in current timeframe?
- What is the trend in open-source vs commercial databases?
